PART-TIME ON-CALL YOUTH COUNSELOR
Qualifications:
1. An undergraduate degree, or working toward an undergraduate degree in social services, human services, or a related field, or working towards an undergraduate degree, is preferred.
2. The ability to relate to clients, co-workers, and the public.
3. Experience working with adolescents is preferred.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate the treatment unit according to established procedures and rules.
2. Participate as a member of the unit treatment team.
3. Maintain standards for building cleanliness and safety.
4. Administer and record medication according to physician's prescription.
5. Provide proper role modeling for clients in such areas as dress, language, social skills, etc.
6. Implement recreational programming according to established activity calendar.
7. Maintain daily log, status sheets, observation sheets, and other required record keeping accurately, timely and professionally.
8. Assist clients to successfully complete daily objectives as established in their Individual Treatment Plan.
9. Follow Night Youth Counselor responsibilities when working the 11:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m. shift.
10. Provide supervision to clients at all times and manage client behavior according to established policy.
11. Meet all required orientation and staff development criteria.
12. Actively participate in the supervisory process.
13. Perform other duties at the direction of the Unit Coordinator or Executive Director.
14. Directly responsible to the Unit Coordinator.
