Financial Reimbursement

Since the Leo A.Hoffmann Center is a Children’s Residential Rule licensed residential treatment center, placement costs are potentially eligible for reimbursement from several sources. These include:

Hoffmann Center costs are Title IV-E reimbursable.

Hoffmann Center will bill Prepaid Medical Assistance Plans (PMAP) for referring counties and keep the insurance company and counties updated with progress information for their client.  This option allows counties to be responsible for the room and board portion of the regular per diem with the PMAP insurance picking up the treatment portion!

Counties can receive Medical Assistance reimbursement for Hoffmann Center placements.

Private insurance companies may reimburse Hoffmann Center for a part or all treatment costs. This varies from company to company. We are in complete support of Best Practices Standards including:

·        Working to become a part of insurance company provider networks at mutually agreed upon rates

·        Pursuing all available insurance funding

·        Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorization based upon information provided by the referring agency

·        Appealing denials

·        Participating in utilization reviews, including providing all available information to the insurance company

·        Billing insurance companies for approved costs

·        Keeping referring agencies informed regarding insurance status
