Financial Reimbursement

Since the Leo A.Hoffmann Center is a Children’s Residential Rule licensed residential treatment center, placement costs are potentially eligible for reimbursement from several sources. These include:

  • Hoffmann Center costs are Title IV-E reimbursable

  • Counties can receive Medical Assistance reimbursement for Hoffmann Center placements

  • Private insurance companies may reimburse Hoffmann Center for a part or all treatment costs. This varies from company to company. We are in complete support of Best Practices Standards including:

·        Working to become a part of insurance company provider networks at mutually agreed upon rates

·        Pursuing all available insurance funding

·        Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorization based upon information provided by the referring agency

·        Appealing denials

·        Participating in utilization reviews, including providing all available information to the insurance company

·        Billing insurance companies for approved costs

·        Keeping referring agencies informed regarding insurance status
